Choosing Warp Yarn for Wild Art Weaving

Nov 18, 2015Art weaving, weaving5 comments

So after a nice morning struggle with some serious writer’s block, I decided it was a video kind of day. I have had several questions about warping for art weaving on a rigid heddle loom. So in today’s blog, I am going to just walk you guys through selecting warp yarn for my next weaving project. Enjoy!
Easy Peasy, right? So what are you working on? are you planning any holiday knitting/crochet/sinning/weaving projects? Share in the comments below.

Could you please do a follow-up video of how those choices worked out? Or what you ended up with instead and why, including info about the weft you chose? I don’t have enough experience to picture the result in my imagination. Thanks in advance.

Yes! I can definitely do that…full disclosure: I haven’t worked on this one in a while, but I can totally do another weaving tutorial with this one as well.

Hi! Just found out about you a couple of days ago. Started weaving on a big loom frame I bought from Beka last month.
Your videos are so informative! Weaving is my lifesaver since we’ve been hunkered down during the pandemic. Thanks for all your generous info.
